The Campus has been a mainstay since it debuted in the '70s under the moniker "Tournament". It wouldn't be until the '80s that it would be renamed to the Campus we know and love today. In the decades since, the silhouette has been adopted by subcultures around the world – from starring on a Beastie Boys cover to being adopted by British rudeboys – the Campus has seen it all.
For many the 1980s was a golden era for adidas product and when you look back at the brand's offerings across all categories it's hard to argue against. Even the Campus was at it's peak around the time, with the slimmer silhouette and buttery suedes making it a favourite iteration amongst connoisseurs. This black and silver combo is one of the OG colours from this era, explaining why it looks so right.
